Yes, that gusting wind makes things much less fun.
-10 F here right now, but no wind which is very helpful.
It's craziness on the roads here today. Only the very busy main roads
are plowed/sanded, the rest are "drive at your own risk".
And, you know, there are always people who drive like it's sunny,
clear, and 75 F.
If they only hurt themselves, that would be one thing, but they
usually take someone else out when they go.
Most people here have no idea how to drive in this weather.
I got stuck getting out of my own driveway this morning. Simply
couldn't get traction. My husband had to be creative about un-sticking
my car. :-) He took a pretty good fall doing it.
I got stuck again in the school parking lot. Kind male stranger got
creative in un-sticking my car. He also took a pretty good fall doing
it.
(2001 Ford Focus wagon, front wheel drive).
I think I'll let someone with a more appropriate vehicle drive the
rest of the day. :-)

Right now it's still snowing to beat the band and the winds are gusting a
bit, but the Jeeps are all comfy inside the garage. We do have to get out
for one errand and if the Internet connection is too slow to access the work
network, I'll have to go into our local office. But with a foot of fresh
snow and 50 mph winds, travel is not recommended.
