Hi all,
I have removed the "corn-fed" words. My g/f thought they were unwise.
Yes, some shots might seem unsaturated. If I had left them as they came
out of the camera, for many where there was sunlight, they were extremely
contrasty with much loss of visible detail in the shadow. For example the
solitary man with the colourful coat and twisted balloons; his face was so
dark as to be nearly invisible. In FastStone I used Gamma, Contrast, and
Saturation sliders to lighten things up and restore colour. And sharpen, often
to a degree of 7. Similarly for the three girls getting ready to dance.
On the other hand, the shots of turned wooden bowls, two South American
musicians, and "Built to last"; all I did was sharpen.
I have no connection with the photographer couple except that we shared an
interest and had a pleasant conversation. Faults with their web-pages aside,
I have to say they are making money from their business, while my better-
behaved web-site has not returned me one cent in sales !! So, far be it from
me to criticise their web-site.
I have added a significant feature to my front page, by the way.
