Us too. It was a wonderful day, and the weather in Michigan was
unbelievable for November. Shorts weather!
I did get the opportunity to get down to the Lake Michigan beach a couple of
times, but didn't have enough time to head up to Ludington State Park like I
had hoped. Got some decent pictures and enjoyed the sand squishing between
the toes.
It's been 16 years since I lived there and much has changed. Unemployment is
still a beast, (even worse than the normal bad), but listening to and
watching the waves lap against the sandy shoreline reminded me why I loved
living there. Oh, and did I mention the sunsets? Ahhhhhh.
Alas, I'm also reminded why I disliked living there. December, January,
February, March and April. You can usually add October and November to that
list. This weekend was more typical of July than of November.
I know the step family doesn't quite know what to make of my family. You
think I'm a little "off", you should meet my siblings. :)
