As near as I can tell I have good focus from about 1.5 meters to
infinity. Since the OM screens are supposedly at 2 meters apparent
distance I shouldn't have a problem. My vision is still changing and I
suspect that I'm actually growing closer to 1 meter as my minimum good
focus distance. But no one will bother measuring for probably another
two weeks or maybe 3 to give time for the other eye to catch up.
After this morning's operation none of my old prescription glasses will
work. Of course, I no longer need any correction for distance vision
with the left eye and it appears that an old pair of drugstore reading
glasses will work as a stop gap for the left eye for reading and using
the computer. They're +2 diopters. I'll have to dig around as see if
I've got any +1.5 around as a bit weaker might be better for the computer.
