I recall it's essential - just delete the shortcut fom the Startup foldet.

I think you should disable it. I'm pretty sure I did but I can't recall
now how I did it. Maybe the Monaco gamma tool did it for me. If it's
not disabled you may have a race condition where the gamma gets set by
whichever one it the last to run.
