A humble "thank you" from me, too. Just too many minutes wasted from my
life, clocking open shutters in the dark ;^)
BTW, there's a trick for actual rangefinders with TTL (albeit not real-time
integrating OTF like Oly) metering, in order to measure properly at very low
light levels:
Remove the lens -- the open mount will behave, as far as metering is
concerned, as a f/0.7 lens (!) Works in my two Bessas (T & R3A)
Speaking about OTF... the Minolta CLE rangefinder does have a full OTF,
real-time metering, both for normal exposures and flash -- just like Oly,
although doesn't go too far in exposure time, about 5 sec. max. AFAIK, the
OTF metering system is really a patent from Minolta.
