Very nice, I can definitely see how a high (construction) quality
version of this might be truly useful
and cost-effective. However, I am sure that as the angle of view
widens, it becomes impractical?
i.e. if I were to replace the albada-type viewfinder of my Linhof
Technorama 617S, which shows an extremely
wide and panoramic view (~18mm equiv, 3:1) [see
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/images/largeimages/145563.jpg
]
with this type of viewfinder, would it even be possible? And would the
size of the opening in the front not become
too large?
I would love to, the Linhof viewfinder has a lot of distortion, and is
not as bright as a lensless finder
might be, not to mention the eye relief.
What are your thoughts?
