Today's (7/30) New York Times has a review of the E-P1 by
David Pogue titled "Instant Love, Followed by Letdown"

He initially liked the camera, but on reflection felt that its
flaws, on second thought, outweighed the benefits.
The flaws he saw were no built-in flash, no optical
viewfinder, the 4/3 sensor yielding lower quality than an APS
sensor, the menu system, and slow focus times.
What he liked were the size, manual controls, Intelligent Auto
mode, movie mode allowing focus adjustment, and color quality.
His summary is "So much beauty, such glorious pictures in good
light, so much potential — but also so many eccentricities,
lapses and misfires. You’ll fall in love with everything the
E-P1 stands for — but you’ll mourn what might have been."
