Release date for win 7 for businesses moved to 9/01. (original plan was
to release about Jan 2010) MS early--very bizzare? Seems to be running
away from
Vista as fast as possible. Suspect XP support to decline as who wants
to spend $ supporting 3 OS's
Instant ON--next must have-- it seems. Dell ships with Montevista
Linux bypass Windoze at startup to give instant
access to e-mail, web, read only office and pdf.
Other flavors include 2 yr old Splashtop.
Chrome OS by google announced a coupala weeks ago and will appear on
netbooks and full size PC's by 2010 sometime.
Windoze killer?--nah too many legacy apps.
Much afoot.
