I tend to agree with Chuck about keeping the street, and with Iwert
about very slight rotation.
For myself, I would correct the barrel distortion, as well.
What really bothered me, though, was the B&W conversion. I'm a complete
naif as to characteristics of particular B&W films. But I do know what
sorts of B&W tonality please me, and something about this one bugs me. A
bit too harsh? Background grass too light and contrasty. Poor
differentiation between foreground dirt and grass. Like a green filter
was used?
Hard to do a direct comparison, as the crop is a different size and
sharper than the original. Still, here's an alternate vision of the
image in B&W, but retaining Nathan's crop, 'cause that's what I've got.
Whatever the reasons, this one just makes me feel better.
