Hi all,
Thanks for the various comments.
Yes, Fernando, I'm about as sane as I will ever be, my body is in reasonably
good shape considering everything, and I exercise nearly every day - walk,
hill-climb, rowing machine, and weights. Not always all of those. At my age I
find it is a battle to build up strength and fitness, and both fall off like
ice-
cream off a hot knife if the exercise is not maintained. The alternative is
unavoidable deterioration. Use it, or lose it !!
And I get all the home comforts I can cope with if I travel south for 7 hours
...
I'm supposed to spend some time skiing with my son at the end of August,
so that is another fitness goal. I have given up judo for a while from about
April - got too tough for a bit.
Thanks Ken for the Fuji transparency notes. Very valuable.
Chuck; the Obsession 6 x 17 is still a wish in action. The manufacturer in
Melbourne makes them in his spare time; he also makes guitars, and is nuts
about a certain breed of dogs. He has my lens, and assured me a month or
two back that the job was nearly complete .... He is a friend of our absent
resident curmudgeon currently in the UK, so I am not really too concerned.
I am practicing with the Mamiya Press and a Koni-Omega ( and the OM4
and OM 2000 etc) and the E's.
Perhaps I should make like a non-oiled door and complain loudly.

Actually, my Range Rover is bleeding me dry; the diesel injection pump for
the BMW 6-cyl diesel is in hospital ... so I don't mind too much if he doesn't
send it for 2 - 3 weeks right now.
Jim; no - Flicker is much more worser than Facebook :-)) And even though
it is slow, Flicker is slower, by far. And the images Flicker permits are
smaller AFAIK.
And this group is just great.
