I think RDP III is Fujichrome Provia 100F.
Provia remains one of the best all-around films ever made. It's not the
sharpest (Velvia 100 has substantially greater resolution), but it has well
controlled grain and the colors are Velvia-like without the nasty habits.
If you could have only one transparency film for all purposes, I'd probably
pick Provia 100F. (In fact, in this week's film purchase, 2/3 of the slide
film was Provia 100F, 1/3 was Velvia 100.
Just, whatever you do, don't try to compare resolution of Provia to digital,
because Provia lacks that edge-detail (pixel sharpness) which Astia and
Velvia have.
