Strictly an issue of the company behind it, not the technology itself. I
think it's a brilliant idea and if a company with the development and
manufacturing resources like Sony, Canon or Kodak were to build it, I think
that Bayer would be dead.
Rumor has it that the reason why other companies haven't used the Foveon is
because of the lackluster speed of data transfer and/or having to deal with
Sigma.
