I'd be interested to hear which Oz wines you are drinking.
By the way, I was trying to find a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon for a tasting
a few weeks ago, couldn't find anything locally under $AU50 a bottle (we
normally aim for 6 wines in the tasting for a total spend of ~$AU150).
I'm not sure what the reason is as I'm sure there is plenty of wine available
in CA for $US20 a bottle, perhaps the Oz importers only handle the higher end
stuff. Anyway Oz Cabernet is relatively cheap and there is some quite good
stuff coming out of Chile too.
