Hmm, it looks as though my cryptic tongue in cheek was too dry and
obscure. My apologies.
When I wrote that it looked as though the economic recession had really hit
Spain, I was
Not hinting that shapely women could not afford clothes
Not hinting that Nathan or his work were siphoning off Euro taxes for their
own enjoyment.
I did see a lot of white plastic churning the ocean into froth; or just sitting
and
reflecting the sunlight. And it all looked like fairly new plastic. Not a sign
of
hard times.
So I should have written ....it looked as though the economic recession had
really hit Spain - n o t !!
Great photos, and I do enjoy seeing pics of a place I visited in 1961 when I
left a completed forestry study tour at Mimizan-plage in the south of France
and took off on my own to explore this foreign country and a language I did
not understand, for a couple of weeks until my hard-earned student money
ran out and I had to scram back to my college in England.
I think Alicante was as far south as I got, and it was little more than a hot
dry
village then.. nearly deserted, and served by one daily motor-coach. I
watched the locals go out into the nearly barren hills early in the morning to
tend their olives and what else grew in the parched hills. I might even have
some Kodachromes .. The days of my Practica FX.
Cheers Brian Swale.
