I wouldn't use the word "rubberized", Olympus just missed the excellent
material that used in their old compact cameras and OM system - the
"leatherette". The rubber they have used on the E-10 and E-1 were just
disaster! A professional camera (they claimed) that cannot withstand three
years of use while my OM-1n was over 25 years old and still looks like new.
BTW, the White EP-1 looks good, may be my wife will like it but me and my
sons sure do not like to carry one. For the Chrome version, they have used
the wrong finishing, it is the poorest chrome, just like kitchenware. IMO it
will look much better if the body is covered with black or grey latherette
just like the one they have used on the Pen compacts.
If Olympus make the EP-1 looks like a Pen FT, they already done something
VERY different from other manufacturers. Now they are just making one that
looks like a big Pana LX.

For me I just want one that look like the Pen FT, it certainly will look
very different from the black plastic blobs. Don't forget your OM-3Ti is
also covered with black, does it look like the common plastic blobs? Ok, I
know the top/bottom is not really black color on the 3Ti but it is certainly
black on the 4Ti.
