Peat moss, Sphagnum moss CMOS, QED, CCD BED ... Why does anybody care?
1. It's what comes out the end of the pipe that matters, and that's
fairly easy to test.
2. The sensor is only the first part of the system. Quality of
amplification, mixed or separate channels, where and how good the A/D
is, demosaicing algorithms and heaven knows what else all play a part in
the quality of the final result.
3. See 1.
