I think we are all being too critical for a first product in a whole
line which we couldn't even handle yet (if I am correct?).
And looking at images with beta firmware by non-photographers :).
There is a very big variance I see in the images appearing now. Some
without or very minimal CA at f2.8,
some with severe @ 5.6, some showing very good noise performance @800
and 1600 ISO, some bad.
Some with very nice blacks @ ISO 200, some with noise.
And the good is comparable with the 5D as I can see. Nothing is
consistant at pixel-peep-level for what we see now.
So why this big hurry?
There will be more to come, that's for sure. The original pen F also
had its shortcomings,
which were nicely corrected by the FV. (that's excluding the optics.)
And the pen pancake 38 f2.8 (yes 2.8!) wasn't that
stellar a performer either (and so cramped to be barely useable :).
I like the little thingy, but also know it is not for me yet. I'll
wait a bit longer :)
