AN OPEN INVITATION TO ALL ARTISTS!
Once again, we invite you to Ottawa, Canada
from November 7 to December 15, 2009, for the
4TH INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL MINIPRINT EXHIBITION, OTTAWA 2009.
A UNIQUE EVENT on the contemporary art scene!
Important dates to remember:
1. August 15, 2009: final date to receive art works
2. End of August: jury selection of works to be shown in the exhibition
3. October: posting of selected artists on our website, along with
artists awarded a
prize or mentions
4. Saturday, November 7, 2009: official show opening in Ottawa, until
December 15,
2009
NB - The Exhibition will be open to the public from November 7 to December
15,
2009, from Tuesday to Saturday between 11 AM and 4 PM, at 81 Beechwood Ave.,
Ottawa.

Regulations for participation for 2009:
- All professional artists from all countries can participate.
- Only original and reproducible digital prints are accepted.
- Artists may submit up to two works.
- Works must measure 25 cm by 20 cm (10 in. by 8 in.).
- Works can be printed:
> on paper measuring 25 cm by 20 cm (10 in. by 8 in.); OR
> on rigid material measuring 25 cm by 20 cm (10 in. by 8 in.), for example
> aluminium,
cardboard, plexiglas, foam core or other material.
- If printed on paper, the works must be mounted on a rigid carton of 25 cm
by 20 cm
(10 in. by 8 in.).
- Works should be signed on the back only and unframed, with a label on the
back side
(see page 3 of the Entry form) to indicate:
o the family and given names of the artist,
o the country,
o the title of the work,
o the year of creation.
- Participation is free for all artists.
- Works must be received by August 15, 2009.
- A jury of recognized individuals in visual arts will select the works to
be shown and
will attribute three prizes.
- The winner of the first prize will receive $300 (Can), the second prize
winner will
receive $200 and the third prize winner will receive $100.
- Artists may choose to donate any submitted works, for sale in a later fund
raising
event. Donations should be indicated on the Entry Form.
Sending the works:
- The delivery of works is paid for by the artists. The return of works to
the artists will
be paid for by the organizers.
- The works are insured for a limited amount during the exhibition.
- The organizers are not responsible for any damage to the works while in
transit,
either before or after the exhibition.
- Each entry must include 3 items:
1. the Entry Form fully completed,
2. the works submitted (with ID label on the back),
3. a CD with the image of the submitted works (for web posting).
- Entries are to be sent to: Centre d'artistes Voix Visuelle
P.O. Box 39106, RPO Billings Bridge,
Ottawa, Ont.
Canada K1H 1A1
with the statement "Printed Matter / No Commercial Value" on the package.
Schedule:
- Works will be received from June 1 to August 15, 2009.
- Jury deliberations: mid-October.
- Notification of results: posted on website at the end of October.
- Exhibition: from November 7 (official opening) to December 15, 2009,
at Centre d'artistes Voix Visuelle,
81 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario
- Return of works to artists: within three months after the end of the
exhibition.
Diffusion:
- Exhibition: all selected works will be shown from November 7 to December
15, 2009
at Centre d'artistes Voix Visuelle in Ottawa, and on our website.
- The names of the three prize winners will be posted on the website, and
each will be
notified by e-mail before the opening of the exhibition.
