It's a device which plumbs the NOS to the jets in a throttle-body
fuel-injection system. A properly fitted NOS Aperture Ring will allow you to
get several hundred more horsepower out of an engine. Quite useful for drag
racing rice rockets.
Also, it's that brass circular ring that goes through the nos of a bull.
