That is such a pity... we shall remember with fondness cameras like
the Canon 1D MkII(N) which did not even offer noise reduction, and
which still
managed to look great at ISO3200 because of those big pixels...
I think that this entire "new" generation of cameras do no longer offer
the information-to-pixels ratio (i.e. more pixels, but not
proportionally more
data of the original photographed scene) that some of the good older
ones did.
