Cai has been tested as acutely deaf, although he could hear some of the
lower range from 95Db, we had to fight but eventually we got him a BAHA
system which basically vibrates the skull to send sound to the brain and
he started reacting to sounds and requests, what was interesting and
strange though was that he reacted better even without the hearing aids
so I am guessing they helped him learn to discriminate from what must
have been just noise before.
