Panasonic is planning 64GB cards using Microsoft's "exFAT" file system
which alleviates the limitations of FAT32 for very large files and
storage capacities.
I hadn't heard of eXFAT either although it has apparently been in Vista
for some time and XP and Linux drivers are available.

Doesn't look to me like it's suitable for a really large random access
device like your 2 TB hard disk but, although flash cards are random
access devices, most of the access is really sequential.
