I've been using the DZ70~300mm a lot lately and find I'm getting very mixed results bokeh-wise.(add that word to your spell checkers) All-in-all I find the bokeh can be great if kept under control. I don't get the consistent creamy wash of color like the 135/4.5 but that's not always what I want. The long reach is nice. I'm going to be using this lens a lot more I can see that now. Maybe not _the_ bokeh champ but right up there. Perhaps the biggest fault with this lens is the very poor AF capability. Here are a couple results from yesterday to illustrate. Not posting my bokeh failures though. <http://www.interisland.net/watershed/mike/WalkDogs/May09/camas8398.jpg> <http://www.interisland.net/watershed/mike/WalkDogs/May09/Rhody8435.jpg> <http://www.interisland.net/watershed/mike/WalkDogs/May09/Rhody8434b.jpg> Mike -- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ |
