Dutchman's Breeches have been the only flower that consistently foils me.
I've never been able to get what deem to be a successful picture of them.
They have this waxy surface and, I think, a substantial reflection in the IR
and/or UV range.
The best images (and I'm using the term loosely) have been with film, but
I've never gotten a good shot with digital.
