Today I received one of the 4Ti's that Olympus had on oboy: 270377649971
The body is cosmetically perfect and it came with a new strap, used
manual and batteries (though one of them was dead!) It seems to work
fine with fresh batteries but it's different/weird in these respects:
a) The shutter speed display in the viewfinder stops at 1000 vs 2000 vs.
my other 4T, a new circuit 4, & as shown in the manual.
b) It has a pattern in the far left of the viewfinder: four dots above
four dashes. That's new to me.
c) It beeps but does flash "OVER" in the viewfinder when overexposing.
It has a very high serial number: 223xxxx (vs. my others 104xxxx & 114xxxx).
I suspect that it is neither an OM-4T nor 4Ti, but I'm no expert.
Luckily I know where the experts hang out :-)
What's the verdict?
I intend to return the body to Olympus unless I hear that I have scored
an ultra rare variant :-)
