Piers.....Prices in Hong Kong were MORE expensive than in the UK!!!!!! UK £ is
about 2/3 of what it was worth a year or so ago.
Quick phone call to my camera shop mate in UK confirmed that even after
haggling I could buy cheaper at home as I get a "discount" at my local camera
shop!
The most frustrating thing about the camera shops in Kowloon (mainland Hong
Kong) was the way in which staff tried to tell you that your camera choice was
bad and that camera X,Y, or Z was MUCH better and had far more features
etc...Very high pressure selling....at about this point I walked out of
shops.....
