It was a minister, the one for Culture, Media and Sport, and he gave a
good account of himself on the radio after that (listen again, PM,
Radio 4). Eddie Mair gave him a reasonably difficult time on that
programme but the chap was honest and straightforward.
It seems to be true that no one has been held accountable, John, but
there seems to be a way forward in that respect, with the new Chief
Constble of the South Yorkshire Police.
I should be careful of believing too much in the Telegraph. I have
started to read more and more in that formerly august organ that is
exaggerated or plain wrong. Try the Independent :-).
