John, you seems enjoyed your trip very much, congratulations. The overcast
sky is not that nice for some scenery but may be good for street shoots as
contrast is lower. Looking forward for your photos from this trip, I enjoy
seeing different viewing angles from foreign visitors :-)

PHEWWWWWW!
Last week I returned home from a MANIC trip to Hong Kong, watching the Hong
Kong Sevens. First imressions...in no particular order....
Bars open 24-7.
Amazing new buildings springing up everywhere.
Joined up public transport system.
Bamboo scaffolding used EVEN on skyscrapers.
Skyscrapers built on hillsides and rocky outcrops on Hong Kong island.
Beautiful scenery
Bars open 24-7 serving good Guinness.
Check in for Hong Kong airport at Kowloon train station! Very practical.
More bars...
Very friendly people...Never felt threatened.
Cheap taxis.
Brilliant view of Hong Kong from the Inclined railway terminal at night,
Even for a Vertigo sufferer like me.
Overcast sky...Very disappointing.
Many many contrasts, too much to take in on one visit...MUST go again.
Did I mention the Guinness at the Sevens?
Took a Canon 40D..most of my photo's taken with a Tokina 12-24mm lens. Very
good combination BUT very heavy.
Ps, Thanks C.H.Ling for advice.
