I bet he'll try. When he's sleeping in the car, that is just about what the
neighbor's beagle looks like, but watch him wake up as soon as he hears or
smells something interesting.
My current rodent and want to be bird catcher is this one.

I want to try this one again either with a flash or more available light so
that I can more Dof.
The mouse catcher that we had previously was this cat.

He was "helping" me photograph some tulips in the front yard.
He was 15 yo when he killed last year by a car. I'd gone away on a job for a
couple of months and since, when ever I came home before, he'd come come out
from where ever he was camping out to come in with me. I think he was setting
at the end of the driveway waiting for me to come home when he got hit. When
he was younger he was good at catching mice, but as he got older he wasn't as
fast and while he wasn't deaf I think he didn't hear as good as he did when
he was young.
