I suppose you know that the part of Calif. West of the San Andreas Fault
isn't likely to fall. The Pacific Plate is moving North on its own,
heading for Vancouver, BC.
I'm not as sure about the Hayward Fault. I know movement along it in the
last 150 years or more has been horizontal slippage, not vertical.
Probably due to part of the No. Am. Plate being pulled along by the
Pacific Plate on its way North.
I'm also to the East of the Hayward, although only by a few hundred
yards, I think.
At least at almost 1000', I'm safe from even the direst estimated
increase in sea level.
