Hi John.
I'm using my own criteria (I'm just that way...) ;-)
I have a mate who uses the Pentax 20, he gets into all sorts of nasty
places, down drains, inside the legs of oil rigs, in inflatables in the
middle of oceans, camps in desert, the Alps...
He's never had a blip.
The E-30 might be able to do that, but who knows? My E-1 probably could,
but doesn't have IS.
Of course, the Pentax doesn't take the OM glass with a simple converter.
But I could buy my mate's kit for the cost of an E-3. An extra zoom
would add a bit more, but I could flog my ZDs.
The 5DII is now out of the running (quite apart from the cost!) due to
various reports, not just the LL Antarctic trip, that it's flakey in the
wet. I'm a Scot. I like the wet...
:-)
