I don't shoot film anymore, but when I did, Neopan 1600 was by far my
favorite high-speed film. I rated it at the nominal 1600 and
developed it in XTOL 1+1. It is an excellent film, much better than
either TMZ or Ilford Delta 3200.
I have no experience with Fuji's 400 offerings (I preferred Tri-X in
that speed) but for slow film, nothing beats Fuji Acros 100 IMO
(developed in XTOL 1+3).
