Ah, that makes sense. Lightroom doesn't quite get E-3 files right in
colorcast. Corey and I have been working on this for the better part of a
year now with his E-3s and almost without exception Lightroom is "clinical"
and uninviting as compared to either in-camera JPEGs or Capture One.
Adobe usually gets the profiles right, but the E-3 profile has always been a
point of contention with Olympus users. Capture One does the best job of
keeping the "Olympus colors" alive of any third-party converter.
It is not unusual for pros using the E-3 for portraiture to use RAW+JPEG and
use the JPEG files whenever possible. Olympus has gone to great lengths
getting the in-camera processing tweeked to a particular look. Lightroom,
in particular, applies a less than ideal profile to the conversion.
The term "third party" in regards to photography makes me think of cheep
lenses.
