It's what you get when airline security staff are paid minimum wage and have
a grade 8 education.
A year or two ago a woman security person asked me to take out the batteries
from my M3. I told her the camera was made in November 1960 and that was
before battery cameras were invented. I also told her that date preceded her
birth date. She agreed. She had no idea that any cameras came without
batteries. She wanted me to take a photo of her and show it to her right
there and then. She settled for a visual inspection without the lens
mounted. At least that was one less half wit to deal with that day !
