My Yahoo and Gmail addresses get lots of spam - and their filters handle
the vast majority with only a tiny leakage. so I really don't notice it.
One email address at my own domain name gets some spam, although nothing
like the above. Undoubtedly that's because I've used it in
correspondence and e-commerce. Again, the Thunderbird filter works well.
My other home domain addresses never receive spam, including the one I
put on my galleries in the form "name at domainname dot net"
I think Jan's right that any address one uses here and in other general
correspondence is going to get spam.
On the other hand, slightly stronger obfuscation than Chris has been
using has withstood sitting on many unprotected web galleries without
attracting spam.
