Your memory of the install issue matches mine.
I found your comment interesting that Olympus doesn't have access to
the developers of Viewer/Studio. I was furious when I couldn't
install Studio 2.0, even as a trial, without removing Viewer 1.5,
which I will not do. I don't feel quite so angry about it now, just
disappointed.
It became the right time for me to add Lightroom to the stable, which
so far I am enjoying a lot. I did like Viewer above all others for
E-1 RAW files, but not quite as well for E-330 RAW. I'm finding that
Lightroom deals with E-330 files better than Viewer, but this could
just be a subjective impression and there are many factors involved
including changes in my own aesthetic sensitivity over time.
