Noosa Woods and walk back along the beach. Hey, you're going to be
walking anyway.

I'm happy to offer suggestions. :-)

Yes, I guess so. I suppose I'm just not really a "people person". I
remember that Byron Bay was certainly good for "interesting variety of
people".

I was inland a couple of weeks ago, spending the day driving around with
my sister who was looking for a place to move to. Cooroy, Pomona and
Cooran seemed to have significantly older and far more interesting
architecture than "resort architecture" Noosa. I think they've been
around a lot longer, around train stations on the main line north. They
were very nice little "country" towns, so I'll have to check them out
some more.

One of the novelties for me here is that you tend to be careful what you
say as it seems everyone knows everyone else or, if you for some reason
elect to get aggro at a pushy bugger on one of the somewhat common
roundabouts, you might later find out they live three doors up from you,
or are the roofer you're later calling up to fix a storm leak. It is a
decent calmness conditioning factor after Sydney hyperactivity and
relative anonymity.
