[OM] Fault in Photoshop CS4 ...?

I have noticed an annoying "fault" in my copy of CS4

Using the clone stamp tool at varying diameters and at varying degrees of 
image magnification results in the tool changing from a circle to an arc, 
and most often to perhaps just a 10 degree arc.

Has anyone else noticed this?

This issue was not experienced with CS3
