I have an old Minolta SRT-101 that I bought for $30 on Ebay a couple years
ago when I was living in Santa Fe. I bought it because I had a Chinese made
Seagull DF-1 35mm SLR that uses Minolta MC/MD mount lenses. The Seagull 50mm
lens that came with it is a really neat lens with nice Bokeh but the Seagull
body is really poorly made. I was always afraid I'd break it. So I got the
SRT to use the Seagull lens on.
All that leads up to this afternoon, when I went to the local camera store
to buy some paper. I noticed a Minolta MD Rokkor-X 85mm f1.7 lens in
near-perfect condition for $49.95
!!! YES !!! $49.95 !!
I snapped it up. I can't wait to try it out and see how it compares to my
Zuiko 85/2.
