The keyboard shortcuts to get these characters are the same in all programs,
not just photoshop. The copyright symbol is alt-G
The dollar sign is on the keyboard if you're in the USA. I can't remember
the keystrokes for it if you have a non-USA keyboard. Check out a book
called "The PC is not a typewriter" (there is a Mac version of the book too,
called The Mac is not a Typewriter). It has all the keystrokes for every
symbol you could ever want. Written by Robin Williams, not the actor, she's
a well known graphic designer who has written several computer books.
