That's just what it was- wax. Bet it's in the same landfill with all the
process cameras.

When newspaper layout was physical, we often used a waxy "glue" which
(when hot) could be rolled onto the back of the columns with a special kind
of rolling glue gun to enable the columns to stick to the layout, but it was
still easy to lift and move all the pieces.
