Unlike Moose I really don't get that one at all.
Carpenters here have no problem, apart from dealing with residual
imperial lengths rather than a true metric approach.
It's a bloody site easier than the alternative, as mm can be used as
a measurement for most jobs - no resort to cm necessary.
Imagine, no fractions or decimal points - a length is either 731mm or
725mm or....
Simple.
