Basically, if you are not on the Internet, Photoshop will stop working
after a while when it can't "phone home" to report on you after some
period of time.

At least in my case, not true. Still using CS2 (waiting for 4) and never,
never, never is my computer connected to the net. It's just like a Mac, no
virus problems.
