Those who have been around for any time on this list know that I encourage
folks to trot their work out for others to see. There are many ways for this
to occur, one of which is participation in photo oriented organizations. My
doing so keeps me actively engaged in producing new images which get
critiqued. In July I received a first place ribbon with Houston Photographic
Society
in the monthly critique meeting. This image can be seen at hpsonline.org .
The first word in the title is Bathed rather than bather. Last night I was
awarded two additional first place ribbons in the August critique meeting.
Each of these were done with an e-1. One was done with a pinhole cap on the
e-1. The newest images will probably not appear for a week or so. Keep the
link and check on it in a few days.
We each only have 24 hours in the day and I find myself often times not
allotting enough time to the many photo projects I'm interested in working on.
Some get done, others don't. A current one, which will get done, is the
Krappy Kamera Competition. This one is one from which I get a good bit of
joy. I
have three of the five images done that I'll trot out for that competition.
It does me good to reflect on where I am allotting my time. Doing so will
sometimes result in my getting a little more focused. I encourage each list
member to take on a project that will get their juices flowing and that
produces a specific result upon completion. It doesn't have to be too high
browed
. . . it can even be Krappy.
