Some words about the Restore route:
Done it before Jerry advice came; there, one week ago in the system, I
read what Jerry posted and installed Avast!.
Then and there, I found that every app of my Adobe Creative Suite CS3
cried and shouted to be activated again !! :-(
Had to restore back to the point of departure, and three apps I had
installed disappeared ... their folders had only some files inside.
But wow ! - CS3 didn't ask for another activation, and could reinstall
the missing apps.
Done that by intuition only.
Then I installed Avast! again (IIRC, uninstalled before restoring back)
- think it's very complete but slow to scan a couple of 120 disks in
mirror raid array.
What a night that was .... I won this battle, and feeling confident,
started the up to sp3.
Wish me luck - :-)
Fernando.
