My first thought on seeing this photo was "the ocean", though I was
wrong on the specifics. Except that the trees don't look anywhere near
"windswept" enough, the photo had me thinking of waves crashing at the
base of those hills, and the salt spray being driven by the winds up
over them. Here, during times of bigger seas driven by an off-shore Low,
looking all the way up Noosa North Shore you can often see the spray
looking like a fog trying to climb the hills that come down to the beach
(actually large, mostly stable and vegetated sand dunes). Looking south,
towards where Mount Coolum (not a dune - just a 208m tall very old
volcanic dome) is close to the coast, its base is sometimes obscured by
salt spray being blown inland.
Anyway, the point is, sometimes your coastal photos and hills photos
remind me in some way of my region.

I concur with Boris - I like it too. In this case, though, it reminds me
of the coast just south of Sydney (Kurnell to north of Cronulla).
