Maybe Chuck and I are both suffering from a sour stomach, but I don't see the
point of this.
I have a few favored films and I use them for their specific attributes. I
don't want my digital camera to duplicate one, just give good results to my eye.
I don't think this has much effect on we that shoot a lot of RAW, but I do also
shoot some jpegs. (Is there another thing that defies Moore's Law so much?) In
the case of my digitals, the results have ranged from acceptable (the Sony R1)
to absolutely great (the D3), but I can tweak things to get what I need from
the raw files if necessary.
The nice thing is the ability to have so many films loaded at one time!
