Well, here is my short synopsis:
24/2.8 (MC) - Very Good. Straight edges, no distortion.
35/2.8 (SC) - Extremely Good, bokeh to die for -- a signature lens! (WOW)
35/Shift (SC) - Very Good. Some minor purple-fringing at the extremes
50/1.8 (SC) - Good, not very exciting, Bokeh is slightly bubble-like
50/3.5 (SC) - Extremely Good. Bokeh better than the 1.8, but nothing like
the 35/2.8
100/2.8 (SC) - Extremely Good, Bokeh is slightly bubble-like
135/3.5 (SC) - Good. Bokeh ok, but nothing to write home about.
200/4 (SC) - Extremely Good, Bokeh Bokeh Bokeh!!! A very sharp lens
300/4.5 (MC?) - Awesome Good. Bokeh??? Oh yeah!
Tokina 100-300/4 ATX - Very Good, very sharp, Decent Bokeh.
Three lenses that never are far from the camera: 35/2.8, 100/2.8 and
200/4. I could make a career with these three lenses. Oh wait! I already
have! ;)
The look and feel of these lenses have an unique signature -- a particular
look which is unattainable with modern glass. That said, the 50-200 zoom
(especially the SWC version) is really good at mimicking that look.
