Yes, we're talking about the same thing I think. We have a box of these
things which are used on a floor-sweeper dohicky. I take a sheet and cut
about a 4-inch square out of one corner. This works extremely well on the
Olympus because of the plastic vibrating membrane that is in front of the
sensor. I'm actually not touching the sensor (or glass filter stack), just
the plastic membrane. I have absolutely no problem with fibers. They also
work very well on film being scanned too.
